Do-It-Yourself Faux Cement Tiles

How I Updated My Guest Bathroom Tile for Less than $50   It’s time! I’ve completely transformed my kids’/guest bathroom floors. For the past year or so, I’ve been OBSESSED with cement tiles. These tiles are gorgeous but they are SO expensive. Even for a small space like this, they’re just too much so I brainstormed a way to get the look for less. So much less. At first, I thought about making a stencil and painting them but I don’t have the attention span for that and it just…

How to make money cleaning out your kid’s closet! Are your kids’ closets bursting at the seams like mine? Kids outgrow clothes faster than anything I have ever seen. DIY Leather Cabinet (or Drawer) Pulls

I recently redecorated/revamped my kids’ small bathroom.  You can read about it here.  One of the changes that I made was to get rid of the horrible knobs on the cabinets and drawers. This small change is SO SIMPLE.  I just have to share it with you.   You’ll need: Leather A leather punch (they also sell these at Hobby Lobby, where I got mine) Screws Nuts Finish washers A rotary cutter or X-acto knife Pen or pencil Optional: A self-healing cutting mat A ruler or straight edge A wrench…

Bathroom Redo

This is the bathroom that my kids share. Not very kid-like, huh? I’ve been mulling over decorating ideas for months and I’ve finally decided to change it. Thank goodness the cabinets are already white or I’d be painting them. When I did this, I realized how badly they need a fresh coat of paint but my intention for this project was for it to be a quick one so I did not do anything to them. They are worn and have character. Really, they’re just cheap cabinets that have been…

Teach Yourself

What have you taught yourself lately? As I’m sitting here on this cold, Sunday morning, drinking my coffee while my house is still quiet, I’m patting myself on the back.  Over the last couple of days, I’ve been working on some new weekly planner printables. This has been such a learning experience for me.  I’ve always considered myself somewhat of a “computer nerd” – and usually give my dad most of the credit.  He is a computer GURU and taught me quite a bit when I was growing up (I…

But first, coffee.

Sometime last year, after just having my sweet baby girl, I took a (much needed) trip to see my friend, my person, Rachel.  I could write endless blog posts about how she has literally saved my life and been the best friend to me that I could ever imagine but today I want to tell you about something else.  Something a little more lighthearted. As I was getting packed and ready to make the 7 hour trip home, I needed some coffee.  A little cup before hitting the road just…

Cookies and Cocoa

Hot off the heels of the custom holiday reindeer mugs, I was contacted by a local mother who was planning her daughter’s first birthday party.  The party theme was “Cookies & Cocoa”. These melamine mugs are perfect for kids because, let’s face it, glass is just asking for trouble. They hold 10 ounces so they’re the perfect size for little hands. Using the invitations as inspiration, we decided on a snowflake decal since the party is in January – sparkles for the girls and a mint color for the boys. Each…

Essential Gifts

My latest project spawned from a request of one of our favorite clients, Be Well Oilery. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Jordan (the brains behind BWO) wanted a custom “thank you” gift for her team of distributors.  Something that had a “you are an important asset to the team” sort of vibe while also being durable and able to hold some occasionally messy items, like essential oils. These little accessory pouches fit the bill. Featuring a “T” bottom and a laminated inner lining, clean up is an easy…

New products coming soon!

I’ve been on the edge of my seat, preparing to share the new site with you all.  I’m still in the process of getting all of my new products pushed over and will hopefully be all finished up within the next week or so.  You’ll find some of my products in my Etsy shop too – you can see that here.  I can hardly contain my excitement about some of the new shirts I’ve been designing….and I’ll finally have some little clothes for your little humans!  And much, much more!…
